Patrick Neeman is a UX and product design leader who has spent his career making software easier for the people who have to use it. He writes long-form about UX and AI — on Medium, Substack, and LinkedIn — for designers, product managers, and user researchers navigating how the craft is changing.
He has been writing about usability for a long time under the name Usability Counts, and is the creator of the UX Drinking Game — proof that heuristics are more fun when there are stakes.

About This Site
UX Guidelines is a working reference for the research-backed rules of interface design — the scanning patterns, cognitive laws, heuristics, and principles that keep showing up in good products decade after decade.
Every law gets the same treatment: where it came from and who found it, what it actually says, and what it means in practice — including what changes, and what doesn’t, in the age of AI. The illustrations share one visual language: skeleton screens, grey blocks, and a single blue accent, so the idea carries the weight instead of the artwork.
